Kinfolk Branding

Branding and logo design for Kinfolk. Kinfolk is a father daughter owned, Midwestern-folk inspired, bakery, coffee shop, and retailer of locally made goods.  Kinfolk’s mission statement is: “Family owned and operated - Kinfolk embodies midwestern living with the warmth and comfort of heirloom recipes + craft coffee + local goods. We strive to bring the best of the midwest from our family to yours.”  I used this mission statement to guide my art direction. I was inspired by milk glass dish ware, old velvet couches, and the mix matched cohesiveness one would find inside an old roadside thrift store. The color scheme was inspired by midwestern landscapes and summer sunsets to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
